When I first laid eyes on this site I couldn’t help being drawn back to those days when Thompson sub machine guns ruled and prohibition was in mid-swing – no I am not talking about the twenties – I am talking about 1998 when Gangsters was released for PC.  I loved that game and played it – literally – to death.  This pick was purely nostalgic and I brings me back to the golden age of my PC gaming days.

I love the layering of this site; Brad Colbow used an illustrated cityscape for the background and did a fantastic job with the layout of the content over that complex image.  I’m digging that zoomed in view of the hotdog vendor also.  Man, this makes me reminisce back to those days when I would send my digital goons into a building and demand protection money – video game extortion was a risky business.

I am a fan of the responsive layout as well; Brad did a fantastic job seamlessly transitioning the layout from various pixel widths.  All in all this is a fantastic site and I love the illustrations.  Here it is.
